Anyone can vote on reported clips at /review
TL;DR
Community Overwatch at /review plays evidence reels of reported players, and you vote Cheating, Clean or Not sure with no account needed. The votes become training labels for our detection models, and our own score stays hidden until you have voted.
Our detection models learned from a public dataset of labelled CS2 matches. What they are shortest of is labels from real games: matches where people who play CS2 have watched the footage and said what they saw. Community Overwatch is where we collect them.
How a vote works
- A clip starts as soon as it loads, muted. It’s an evidence reel of one reported player’s kills from one match.
- You vote Cheating, Clean or Not sure. The keys Y, N and U do the same.
- If you pick Cheating, tick what gave it away: snaps to the head, an inhuman flick, pre-firing before seeing, tracking through smoke, pre-aiming the unseen, tracking through walls, spinbot, or speed and movement. That tells us whether the clip should teach the aim model or the wall model.
- Then we show you our model’s score, how everyone else voted and whether Valve has banned the account. We hold all of it back until you vote, so it can’t steer you.
Rules we set
- No account needed. You get one vote per clip per browser, and each connection has a daily cap.
- Players we have confirmed as clean are never put in the queue.
- Votes are training data. A crowd result is never shown on a player’s profile as an accusation.
- If you’re signed in, your vote is stored with your account, so we can give it more weight in training later.
The same vote box sits on the home page next to a rotating clip, so you can vote without leaving it.
WHAT A VOTE IS NOT
A vote isn’t a ban and it isn’t a public verdict. We can’t issue Valve bans, and votes don’t change anyone’s profile.
How to use it
- STEP 1Open Overwatch in the top menu, or use the vote box on the home page.
- STEP 2Watch the clip, then vote with the buttons or with Y, N and U.
- STEP 3Press Next case, or Enter, to move on.
Known limits
- The queue only holds matches that someone rendered as a report. Once you have voted on all of them, it stays empty until new reports render.
- Votes are tied to your browser unless you’re signed in, so clearing your browser data lets you vote on the same clip again.
- The daily cap is per connection. People sharing one network share it.
